Dr. Ehsan Aghaei Moghadam is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He completed his MD at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, followed by pediatric residency in 2009, and later ranked first nationwide in the pediatric cardiology board exam in 2013.
He has received advanced training through international observational fellowships in fetal cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital (USA), and in pediatric echocardiography at Hôpital Necker Enfants Malades (France). He also serves in key leadership roles at the Children’s Medical Center in Tehran, including Head of the Cardiopulmonary Ward and the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, and contributes to medical education as Deputy of International Affairs for the Pediatric Group at TUMS.
A prolific researcher and head of the fetal and pediatric cardiac research center, Dr. Aghaei has published extensively on congenital heart disease, fetal cardiology, and advanced diagnostic techniques. He is also a contributor to the Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics, particularly in the field of congenital heart disease. His work reflects a strong commitment to clinical excellence, academic leadership, and international collaboration.
